Family walk round Malham and Gordale Scar. Busy!

Trail Run 54:07 [3]

Evening run from Middlesmoor over the moors to Scar House Reservoir "with" (i.e. starting but not finishing with) Thomas and Alice in 28:21 + 25:46 = 54:07. Very isolated and quiet.

Cycling 1:07:06 [3]

From Gollinglith Foot back to Middlesmoor across the moor straight into a strong headwind with Emma. Hard work all the way.

Trail Run 40:00 [2]

Up the valey from Middlesmoor with Thomas, Emma and Alice, but eventually turned back due to cows and finished with a short out and back across the fields in the opposite direction.

Wednesday Sep 2, 2020 #

Orienteering 37:59 [3] 4.2 km (9:03 / km)

Test running Dave's Dunrod Hill MapRun Course (4.2 km) on a wet and windy afternoon in 37:59. Wrong knoll at 4, wrong hill at 5, and a mis-punch at 9 (I thought that I'd heard the beep, but my trace suggests I didn't!). Thomas 24:47 (!), Alice 39:10.

Tuesday Sep 1, 2020 #

Urban Orienteering 35:57 [4] 4.3 km (8:22 / km)

Mains Estate Urban Long (4.3 km, actually 6.716 km) again in 35:57 (compared to 38:28 last time). Different routes for S-1, 1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 7-8, 8-9, 11-12, all quicker than before except cutting through 1-2. Felt much better than last time, but still couldn't quite match Dave's time (35:41). Oddly, the high metal fence at the start had entirely disappeared since my last visit just over a week ago (although they appear to be replacing it, and so a map correction probably isn't necessary).
