Terrain Run 1:13:04 [4]

Cort-ma Law with Alice (+ Thomas and Emma) on a cold and windy but gloriously sunny Sunday morning under clear blue skies. Hard work with heavy legs from yesterday. Climb in 42:14, descent in 30:50 = 73:04. Very stiff legs after yesterday ... struggled to walk across the bedroom first thing in the morning!

Terrain Run 3:00 [1]

Brief warm down.

Hill Race race 49:03 [5] 4.4 mi (11:09 / mi)

Tinto Hill Race (4.4 miles, 1500 feet climb) in 49:03. Chilly but sunny with perfect visibility and little wind (i.e. pretty ideal conditions). Steady climb with a bit more walking than expected (33:44 to top) then brisk descent (15:19). Thomas 37:12 despite unscheduled extra distance through the heather following the leader (Murray Strain) round the junior course loop. Emma 45:45. Battled on the descent with a woman who overtook me right at the end only to turn round in the finish funnel to reveal that she was heavily pregnant!

Terrain Run 15:00 [2]

Warm up before the race.
