Orienteering race 1:09:39 [5] 6.9 km (10:06 / km) +330m 8:09 / km

INT SOL 7, Drummond Hill West, Short Brown (6.9 km, 330 m) in 69:39 (-1:40 errors). One of the best events I've done this year - proper Scottish orienteering in a proper Scottish forest with proper amounts of both physical and technical challenge. Brisk start (fell over a couple of times, twisted ankle once) but no significant navigational mistakes before the two hard climbs to 10 and 11. Caught by Dave just before 12, and then managed to stay with him unitl he accelerated away in the easy section from 19 to the finish. Great fun on a gloriously sunny late Autumn day.

Second overall in SOL series on M50L behind Dave (who was actually running his correct age class this year). Not a bad result considering ...

Drumchapel parkrun #72 in 26.02. Steady effort through the Autumn leaves.

Terrain Run 49:54 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run. The Whangie (anti-clockwise) with Dave, Patrick, Ian, Ty and Alice at good pace on a clear and still evening in 49:54. Wet, muddy and slippery underfoot.

Garscube Interval Session. Warm up (10.05), 3 x 1 mile at brisk pace in 7.07, 7.19 and 7.17, warm down (8.43). Good workout.
