SOLWAY SOL 3, Drumlanrig Woods, Short Brown, M50L (8.3 km, 280 m) in 73:27 with approximately 0:50 of errors. Steady run with heavy legs mostly on the tracks on a technically easy area on a gloriously sunny Sunday morning.

Drumchapel parkrun #45 in 24:52. Up at 4:30 to take Alice to the airport, then back to bed for an hour or so before heading out to the parkrun. Expecting a low key run after a tough week, but it turned out to be a Garscube Summer Series event with an extra 20+ Garscube runners. Overtaken by lots of Garscube women, but pleased and surprised to knock exactly a minute off by Drunchapel PB. Where did that come from?

Crack of dawn start, in Oxford by 10.30 am, five and a half (!) hour DPhil viva, then a steady run down Banbury Road and back across Port Meadow.

JK 2017 Relays, Pippingford Park, 1st leg for CLYDE on M120+ (6.4 km, 190 m) in 47:26. Steady effort, but no zip for a non-comp team. A win for CLYDE on Women's Short and a close second to SYO on M165+.
