Didn't feel sufficiently inspired to go all the way to Edinburgh for the ESOC Sprint-O, so instead got dropped at the railway bridge [originally I typed "railway bride" - I guess that might have been a rather different way to spend a Sunday morning!] near Drymen and ran back along the West Highland Way to the top of Mugdock Country Park (Tinkers' Bridge) and then up the road through the Khyber Pass to Mugdock Visitors' Center (12.18 km, 212 m climb) in 77:20. More than two minutes quicker than when I did the same run almost exactly a year ago.
CLYDE Terrain Run, Dunellan then right round Jaw Reservoir on a damp evening in light rain with Dave, Lindsay, Emma and Alice. Wet underfoot round the far side of the Reservoir.
Garscube Strength and Conditioning. Start of the "Power Phase", with 3 x new circuit with 35 seconds per station, plus the always-painful "clams" exercises and warm up and down stretching.
Garscube Intervals at Todd Campus. Warm up (15:00), then 1 x 1200 (5.03), 1 x 1000 (4.26), 1 x 800 (3.27), then 1 x 1200 (5.08), 1 x 1000 (4.34), 1 x 800 (3.35), then warm down (10.00). Tough workout!
