Trail Run 1:25:17 [4] 13.76 km (6:12 / km)

Emma wanted to run 15 km, so I failed to keep up with her from near Drymen back to Milngavie along the West Highland Way on a damp and chilly but not unpleasant Sunday morning. My first ever run with a Garmin, so I know that it as 13.76 km long in and took me 85:17. (Emma did over 15km.) A good workout, but a bit of struggle. Started to rain/snow soon after we finished.

Road Race race 23:12 [5] 5.0 km (4:38 / km)

Pollok parkrun #361. Steady effort on a cold but thankfully entirely ice-free morning in 23:12, suggesting that the extra loop to avoid "The Glade" we've run several times recently could be worth up to an extra 3 minutes. Slightly disappointed by the time, but it gives me something to work on in the next couple of months (and my knee felt pretty good).

Road Run 10:00 [2]

Jog in and out of Pollok Park.

Terrain Run 52:30 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run. Cochno Hill with Emma and Lindsay on a cold, damp but clear night. Felt slow and heavy, but kept going to the top.

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [4]

First proper Garscube Strength and Condition session of the year. 3 x circuits with 45 s for each exercise plus plenty of warm up and warm down. All arm related exercises just as tough as I remember from last year!

(rest day)

Didn't feel up to intervals in the dark and wet.

Terrain Run 48:00 [4]

Map run round the woodland north of the Visitors' Centre at Mugdock Country Park with Alice. Wet underfoot, with one rough felled area. Enjoyable workout.
