Trail Race race 1:16:02 [5] 15.0 km (5:04 / km)

Carnegie Harriers Devilla 15 K Trail Race in 76:02 (official gun time). Chilly with bright blue skies and frozen ground underfoot made for excellent running conditions this year. Steady all the way - definitely not really racing like last year - but pleased to take 4 minutes off my official 2013 gun time of 80:12. Thomas (first junior) a minute a km quicker than me in around 60 minutes. Then about 4 hours driving.

Hill Race 55:13 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run. Anti-clockwise around Jaw Reservoir on a cold evening with patches of snow and ice underfoot with Thomas, Emma, Mirjam, Ty, Iain, Alastair and Adelka. Feeling pretty rough and plodded round in 55:13. It doesn't look very promising for the Devilla 15 km race on Sunday.

Garscube Strength and Conditioning Session. Longer than usual warm up, then a "challenge session" on squats, press ups, lunges at sit ups against the clock in approximately 13:50. Total session 60 minutes.
10 PM

Exercise Bike 40:00 [4] 16.1 mi (2:29 / mi)

40 minutes (16.1 km, 968 cal) on "pyramid" programme on exercise bike.
