Glasgow Parks Championships 2014, Race 1, Springburn Park (2.6 km, 50 m) in 14:43. Back to Springburn Park for a brisk sprint on a cold morning.

Orienteering race 13:37 [5] 2.7 km (5:03 / km) +10m 4:57 / km
Glasgow Parks Championships 2014, Race 2, Glasgow Green (2.7 km, 10 m) in 13:37. Another brisk sprint, only slightly spoilt by mispunching #1 - my fault as the correct control (which I never saw) was clearly not supposed to be on the end of a fence! Also punched the wrong #5 (on a fence corner very near to the correct control) but immediately realised and only lost a couple of seconds.

Orienteering race 26:11 [3] 3.8 km (6:53 / km) +100m 6:05 / km
Glasgow Parks Championships 2014, Race 3, Cathkin Braes (3.8 km, 100 m) in 26:11. Very last start of the entire event in the chasing start, so pleased with a clean run through the best bits of the area overtaking plenty of people. Interesting to revisit two Commonwealth games areas (Hockey at Glasgow Green and Mountain Biking at Cathkin Braes) now that all the temporary structures have been removed - the "legacy" car park at Cathkin Braes certainly makes parking easier than in the old days!

Springburn parkrun #31. Felt good on a chilly and damp morning, so disappointed to miss my Springburn PB by 7 seconds with an official time of 22:13. Turns out we'll be back in Springburn Park for round one of the STAG Glasgow Parks Championships in 24 hours time!
