Orienteering race 58:43 [5] 5.6 km (10:29 / km) +90m 9:42 / km

Tinto Twin Day Event, Happendon Wood, Blue Course (5.6 km, 90 m) in 58:43 with approximately only 1:15 of errors. Wet, windy and rough underfoot in places - proper "old school" physically demanding orienteering on a better-than-expected area. Steady run with tired legs by the end, but few navigational errors. Two firsts today: the first time I've parked at a Service Station for an orienteering event, and the first time I've every seen a "Fuel Filter Water Level Overflow" error message come up on the dashboard!

Road Run race 23:25 [4] 5.0 km (4:41 / km)

Pollok parkrun #297. Only my third visit to Pollok this year, and my first since it was renamed (previously "Glasgow parkrun") over the summer. Steady effort on a wet and windy morning. Official time an unimpressive 23:25.

Road Run 16:00 [2]

Jog in and out of the Park.

Orienteering race 51:23 [5] 3.8 km (13:31 / km) +105m 11:53 / km

Tinto Twin Night Event, Carmichael Hill, Blue Course (3.8 km, 105 m) in 51:23 with approximately 11:00 of errors. Wild wind and very tough going underfoot, but no rain on a course mostly on Carmichael Hill. Littered with errors: drifted right on 3-4, drifted badly right (and downhill) on 4-5, miss at 7 (was the boulder mapped in exactly the right place?), big miss at 8 (the quarry I've missed before on previous visits), and overshoot on 8-9 (bounced off the fence behind). Enjoyable, but should have done better.

Terrain Run 52:14 [4]

CLYDE terrain run with Dave, Mirjam, Ty, Ruth, Thomas and Emma on a damp evening. Straight up the Slacks then back clockwise. Unexpectedly rough and brackeny underfoot, but better conditions on the hill than we feared as we drove to the start in heavy rain!

Road Run 51:57 [4]

Steady clockwise plod round the usual home to Milngavie to Canniesburn Toll to Bearsden Cross to home loop in an unimpressive 51:57 on a damp evening.
