All the pain is back today - sacrum, glutes and down hammies, mainly RHS. Looks like running little and often is important - the gap since tuesday made sciatica worse. A good mat session is also in order.

Parkrun was still good though, lovely to ride there with Brad. He said he could hardly keep up with my cycling which is weird because I was going at efficient but not hurry pace and chatting all the way. I should pump tyres up more often! Nice and cool running but I was good and sweaty by end, hurray for sweat response training.

commuting. Good show, I was on piano again. Very happy that someone recognised my quotation of a Michael Jackson song. Doing a jazz style opening number also worked very well and cast seems keen to dump the recorded music opening we have used most performances until now ( except when technology fails and I suddenly have to play something and am never happy with it). I need to write my own song so that it is ours and recognisable.

A sad lack of running or hill walking in last few days, and not enough core stuff, just a few sit ups and stretches here and there but it's not enough

with Imo on blackie. Road works meant we had to go up LBM instead, then across to blackie, lap of circum slowly, then jogged down. My legs were toast but we took it very easy, although it was a bit hot. Impossible to get out early today.

PB!! ***11:36*** from Bot Gardens firetrail Gate to top of Blackie (via South of Quarry path).
It's an all time PB for this segment. I rarely do it hard, usually a walk day to recover or a chatty walk with the Fred. My records say that previous best was 11:53 in June 2017. Since I seem to be more of a walker than runner these days am going to mark these sorts of achievements more often.

Cycled to blackie after 2 mugs of tea, warm but not too hot. The weather not the tea. First lap to top in 13:15, straight down via Run-up, right at concrete path, down Pump house path to the Gate. 2nd lap was the PB. It was spontaneous, just decided to go harder. Noticed that I was pretty fast to Circumcision path so pushed up the next bit then ran the concrete path and the stairs with very jelly legs, and got a good time. Had to wait til home to check numbers.
Riding home I really struggled on the first tiny hill on Frith rd. Felt great at home so only had my potato-electrolyte-magic-drink and a few cherry toms. A few hours later I had "breakfast" at 12.30 - good metabolic adaptation :)
