went to short and sweet audition. Felt a bit strange and nearly turned tail and headed home, but I persevered. Didn't feel bad for most of audition (the effect of nervous adrenaline) but struggled to ride home. Managed to do a good audition so that's a win.

majura with flan, feeling spritely this morning and got to top in 29:35, partly because we were running away from the guy with audible music player. Running felt better than last week. Progress. Did a bit of back care on mat before I left. A LOT of traffic on the path, might need to leave earlier or choose a different route - it's getting like mt Ainslie. ok not quite that bad

with Imo and Dusty on bruce ridge. After a walk warm up of about 7 minutes we jogged most of the rest, with a sneaky walk now and then. Butt felt better than on sunday, feels like progress. A lovely morning on soft rain-soaked trails after huge thunder storms last night until... Aaah!! Imo has a big stack and splits the skin on her knee good and proper. Tied it up with my cotton scarf, got covered in blood from both knees. Gave an arm and shoulder to Imo to get up hill but she could walk most of the way back using a stick.
We were nearly back when I stopped suddenly saying "Oh no!". Imo looked very concerned... "I forgot to pause my watch!". Good to have a small laugh. 4 stitches and an xray to hunt for gravel and she's ok. No internal damage.

A morning of high drama in my street; police, forensics, ambulance, and some neighbourly duties of retrieving property and making soup. The unwell person was Julia who collapsed in a gym class and has recovered and avoided going to hospital (by flatly refusing to let ambulance officers take her there).
The other drama affected our friends on other side of cul de sac. The disaster/crime involved the couple who live in the right hand end, and who I've never met. The rumours are of a serious crime*. I did see a forensic scraping something off the ground and police/forensics were in the street for hours.
The only exercise has been to retrieve J's bicycle which is an upright comfort cruiser and a lot of fun to ride. The new local fancy gym looks amazing inside. I've never had a gym membership so it's good to see what it actually looks like in there. Surprisingly pleasant actually. Perhaps I could take up swimming if I ever feel the urge
*later found out that one person admitted to hospital and the other is in custody; domestic violence. Many windows were broken.
