Chasing E around bot gardens playing hide and seek, with Flan. We chose the only good weather window of the day. We must have run quite a lot because I was exhausted afterwards, or maybe that's just the nature of spending half the day with a 3 year old. Delish lentil curry back at Flans afterwards

with Crumin on ridge. She did 3 x lane sprints in 23, 18, 15 after much arm twisting: her first ints. Very proud

First magpie swoops. 2 birds both on Scrivener. If I looked towards them the swoops were half hearted and not close. They get a good first in though. Didn't actually bother me, no contact.

50:00 minutes total; about 20:00 of walk maybe…. Decided it was time to take the plunge and start from shops. Hammy/lower back held up really well, could hardly feel it and no issues at all afterwards. Not easy to keep up with Rick and Adam but fortunately (for me, not him) Rick had a cold so was a lot slower than usual. It felt great to do the whole run* with the group instead of being the one that parks at blackie. Adam pulled away and did an extra hill, then we all decided *not to do the Circum loop after all, turning back at Circum junction which meant we got to the restaurant in a time that deeply impressed Owen (who met us there).
It felt so good being able to just tick along with a comfortable running gait. I walked all the steep hills but ran all those short runnable parts. Was glad not to go further than circum junction though. Enjoyed running in the dark and cold, it’s the company that makes it.

Had my new standard order of hot and sour soup and 4 vegie rice paper rolls. I should ask for “only prawns” in the soup, those crab stick things are strange.

Top run with top company. Imo and I finally back on for our thurs morning run. It was so cold that the walk warm up was short. On ridge sticking to sunnier side with Dusty for company. Stopped to adjust clothing and had a few walk breaks early on to get going. Hammy stayed from 0/10 to a 1/10 so really very good. Enjoyed running the mtb tracks a lot and felt fine up hills (except that first one). A cold wind but a good bright sunshine. Spring will be sprung tomorrow, hurray!

Ran up to Crumin's (after 5 min walk warm up), then we ran up lane, to top, walked across to bruce ridge. Some more running up Log run. My feet took ages to thaw but eventually the sun did it's job.
Jogged and walked home via shops. Felt SO much better afterwards. And hungry. Dilmah tea at C's was surprisingly well flavoured. Don't think I've had it for a while.
