I have yet another cold so no YGO run tonight. I think I've spent more time with a cold than without since early Feb. Ridiculous. I hope this pattern eventually changes :(
Dinner at Tudo was fun, worth going.

An absolute cracker of a run, made even better because it nearly didn't happen. Last minute communications had me still in bed considering prospect of leaving in 20minutes after not enough sleep. To get up or Not to get up; that is the Question. I got up, hurray! ***Note to self: I never regret getting up once I am on the run and especially not afterwards***

Beautiful crisp sparkling cool but bright canberra autumn morning on Blackie with Imo. Walk warm up, drills, fartlek and constant chatter about performing arts inspired by the UPDoing Things performance last weekend. I invented a new walking backwards lunge drill - it looked a bit mad, very glad no-one saw. The other drills made us feel so good that we did some easy form intervals of 30secs run/30secs walk up a long hill x5, focusing on making it feel easy (little steps) but keep running.

Good to do and my breath cycle didn't climb above 4 steps. Have noticed an improvement in breathing lately as I improve fitness. Easy running on flat or down is 6 steps and can keep mouth closed, up hill it climbs to 5 and it has to be a steep hill or longer session to need 4's.

Long walk in the sun at a pace faster than my slow run, probably. From home to slyfox where I stopped only to say Hi. Over drain and up Moorhouse, CCT, substation, top of blackie via concrete path by 53:25. Down diagonal then clockwise around circum for almost a lap where I did running and drills. Down SQ track and home via CCT and bike track. Pretty stuffed by end, had half a banana near end of session.

Saw a fat grey pidgeon with distinctive white stripes around eyes, but can't work out what it is. Also saw a non distinctive small grey bird in a tree who watched me fearlessly as I looked up at it, then made a whirring noise. I need a twitcher.
