Running 35:00 [3]

Didn't get quite enough sleep then had to get up at stupid oclock to make food for bbq so was a bit sleepy. The general lunacy of Faye, Bec, Susan and Felix in the car with me woke me up. Were joined by Shane and 3 yo Finn in a backpack at honeysuckle carpark. Walked on a sometimes wet muddy trail to Booroomba carpark stopping for bird and fungus sightings. Some of us went up to Booroomba cliffs and I've never seen it so busy; worse than Tennent on a sunny sunday morning.

Was just going to be a gentle social hike but was able to power up Booroomba on my own for a good hill effort then enjoyed the short run on the flat to the cliffs. At the end of the hike Bec and I accidentally started running, drew away from the others and couldn't resist running all the way back to BBQ. Since the honeysuckle track is the most beautiful bit of run track in the whole of Namadgi this made me very happy. Wish I could run like that on a beautiful trail for 2 hours at a time. Dream of honeysuckle to tennent is still alive.

Achilles not *so* happy - would have been better to have a very easy day. It will recover. Weather was perfectly warm and sunny (21C). We met a few others and had a most enjoyable bbq lunch at the campground. F, B and S tried to pick up the ranger, but were thwarted. They are crazy. I was impressed by his ability to turn on the bbq hotplate that acts broken for everyone else. He is the BBQ Whisperer.

Shane's portable, bike pump style coffee maker provided hours of entertainment and millilitres of coffee... just not that many mls.

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga/strength at home) 20:00 [1]

Had a headache probably from what I ate today so did some yoga before bed. Did the trick. Could also count the slack-line balancing at the bbq as extra strength and balance work. I really really want a slack line for home. Maybe I should?

Walking 1:12:00 [2]

Perfectly lovely bit of exercise on black mountain, cool and overcast with springy soggy trails. Did some exploring with no particular plan. parked at substation. Up bot gdns FT, over road, down hill to find the New Path. Followed it down hill to No Entry sign (at least I assume that's what it said on the other side. Then I u-turned and followed the path all the way to the grand new lake viewing platform. There is some elaborate rock work along here. The platform is nearly finished but it doesn't look like the track is going to go further.

I continued on the old ST to pushbike hill, contoured around a bit further and ascended along the very rocky spur. Some pretty outcrops along here and I've always wanted to explore it. You can see this ridge line from the bridge on circum. Crossed the road, up the track to end of carpark, more track to top of blackie for water. Down to circum where I did a lap and a bit of drills and running which felt a tiny bit sore because I'd already walked a lot. Not too bad though and the running felt coordinated and I'm defo a bit fitter for it.

Down to car in the fading light. Really enjoyed being in some new parts of blackie and I can't wait to take friends along the new track when it's finished.

Walking 20:00 [1]

moving legs to freshen brain. Reached a milestone at first group rehearsal last night. It looks like I have been on the right track with Cooking with Trisha. Seeing slightly shocked looks on audience faces was ... good.
ok must train after tomorrow morning's rehearsal.

Walking 1:22:00 [2]
weight:63.5kg

Walked from home to Moorhouse (11.40) to black mtn reserve (=24.40) to Bot Gdns FT gate (=35.23).
Walked back from circum afterwards, same way.

Walking 13:29 [3]

One rep from Bot Gdns FT gate via SEQ to top. Nice and cool today.

Running 21:00 [3]

Down to circum to do a lap and a bit clockwise with lots of drills, good workout and needed to walk a bit to recover from drills. Perfect cool weather and did some lovely orchid hunting on the walk home. I think I found 4 species.

Cycling 15:00 [2]

commuting to lightbulb rehearsal, think it helped the legs recover because achilles felt just perfect the next morning, woot! Great rehearsal on singing, best session I've ever had on this, totally comfortable singing alone.
