Running 20:00 [3]
weight:60.8kg

Local run, and hot. Warm up walk for 7, run easy for 20 mins, cool down walk for 4. Kept under trees as much as possible. Didn't feel too bad once I got into rhythm. I had set my alarm for 5am but ignored it.

Walking (Mt Tennent) 1:24:56 [3]

It was high time for another dawn Mt Tennent. Imo came along for her first taste of the wonders of Mt T and night running, and loved it. Left car at 4:34am which was about 10mins later than intended so only V made summit for sunrise. Fortunately sunrise is spectacularly pretty thru the trees on the last bit of firetrail so we took pretty pics then met V on summit. Very clear so good views in all directions.

The run down (below) felt good until my choice of shoe began to hurt my feet a bit. I had a whim in the wee small hours to wear my road gloves - not good on sharp stones or for a long run. Had quite a pain on top of R foot by end but felt mostly better the next day. L achilles also a bit tender.
It was great fun running with the 3 of us, chatting, scaring wallabies and making plans to do it again. Wasn't too hot either as the angle of the sun means we were shaded for much of descent. Didn't see a single other person on the way up or down (I think that's a first).

500ml water and 6 dates - all that was needed.

My slowest Mt Tennent yet.

Running race (Blackie Run-up) 21:37 [4]

Warm but with cloud cover thank goodness. Didn't feel too bad but probably started a bit too fast. Not a bad time for me on a hot day. Blackhole kindly waited for me (yay) so I had someone nice to run down with. Did a 2/3 lap of circum, then down concrete and along fence back to car. 8:48 at lower gate, 17:39 at Circum Junction.

Had a massive stack near the end. Caught my toe on a bit of stump, it didn't release so I became fully airborne. My first thought was to come down quickly, then I realised it was better to relax and float then land in a long full contact slide so as to distribute forces. I will call this the Land Landing Pelicanasana. Very difficult yoga posture (dynamic). Hardly any bruise or scratch but I was most dramatically covered in brown dust which clung to clothing and sunscreen. Looking such a sight got a lot of sympathy and offers of assistance when I got back to carpark. It was hard to convince all that I was perfectly sound in mind and body. Stopped off for bit of shopping at lyneham on way home; many stares.

Running 28:00 [3]

A few mins warm up and the run down with bhole.

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga at home) 10:00 [1]

A tune up for back before heading to run-up in car.
