Walking (Bushwalk) 3:15:00 [2]

Bushwalk in some lovely country with kate. On trails around square rock, smokers trail, Booroomba creek, corin road. I was overdressed for the heat so found it a bit tiring by the end. Also I ended up having to carry both packs. It has worked a treat for my knee tho.

Found a pretty pool in Booroomba creek and watched the fish (baby trout maybe) and skater bugs doing their thing, peaceful and pretty. The water tasted so clean and sweet that I bravely/foolishly filled my bottle and drank lots.
A fast moving red-belly black startled us, crossing the path in front about a minute after I had warned kate to keep an eye out for the species. We were crossing a grassy swamp and creek. I am now the snake-whisperer who can spot a snake from 100m away, around corners and under bushes. It was a great looking animal, shiny with head up and bright orange underside just showing.

I'm feeling really good as I write this on monday; a bushwalk is sometimes the perfect recovery. The cold virus that was trying to get a hold on friday has evaporated without causing any proper cold :)

weight:61kg

I have been enjoying good knees this week but the down hill was too much last night. Ric's slow is not slow enough for me (I needed to walk a lot). It's great that I felt strong up til this point but should take more care. Knee was sore at home last night and here I am sensibly skipping parkrun. As in not going to parkrun; I'm not doing airborne leaping drills for 5k.

Cycling 25:00 [2]

Nice Inner North Knee-therapy cycling.

Running long 1:30:00 [3] 10.0 km (9:00 / km)

Circumcision Loop PB of 12:40 ish (there was a short rest in middle with paused watch, so need to do again with no rest).
You've Got Options fri night run. Really enjoyable hard run altho half way through the down hill I should have slowed down to look after my knee (which was feeling great until that point). Group runs are great for a bit of push!

I ran all the way from home (yay!), taking about 37:30 to get to top with a detour to OConnor shops to meet group and put my backpack in owen's car. I left straight away so that I could go at my own pace and felt good running most of the way until the start of pebblecrete summit track. Up hill felt easy. Saw an echidna on way up and a GM on top where it took me a while to work out he was with our group, duh!

Legs felt good running down concrete to Circum. Pushed quite hard on circum, chasing owen and breathing in 5's then 4's at end. It would have been a proper PB except for the short pause at road crossing where group waited for me to catch up. I can defo knock over my previous best of 13:20 anyway.

Pootled down with birthday boy ricA who kindly ran slowly and chatted. Still too fast for my knee which just started to complain about pace of downhill. A most enjoyable dinner and a good group tonight including GM, Half-a-MaryMac (dinner only), RicA, owen, Dave, Brent, Rick2, Quarter-Jarrad (pulled out with calf issue) and Simon motorbike who I hadn't seen before. Here's hoping I remember names for next time.

Running race (Mt Ainslie Run-Up) 20:40 [5]

Went too fast at the start, no PB. But not ideal weather or restful lead up. I'll get my sub 20 one of these days. Worked very hard and dwelt in pain for 2/3 of it so very good training. Continued with bits of running all the way up and was smashed by senior walker derek robinson. I'll pace better next time.

Running 18:00 [3]

The run down chasing flan and Jess, then back up the hill and into campbell to get bike from yoga. I couldn't keep up with their relaxed pace.

Cycling warm up/down 17:00 [2]

Home again. Phew!

Walking 50:00 [2]

Easy up-down of Ainslie with sist. The only running was when I did when I left her to do a loop. Running felt really good again.
I feel autumn in the air.
