12 PM

Cycling 30:00 [2]

Walking 1:30:00 [2] 10.0 km (9:00 / km)

Mt Majura circuit with Flan and baby after piano lesson. Flan was excited to have got a (free!) 6 Foot track entry. Everyone who runs seems to be going. Maybe I should go check it out and run it the following year...
6 Foot track training today was the usual route from flans, just walking which was good recovery for all the strange aches that yesterday produced. Hot and humid but felt better for it and it's great to chat and walk. Small amount of L knee niggling afterwards.

Frennis (Frisbee-Tennis) 1:30:00 [2]

World Frennis Championships in Forest and such a lot of fun. My frisbee throwing was woeful at first, couldn't even serve over the net reliably, but I improved a lot each game, was very lucky with my randomly allocated teams so I made the finals. Skill counted more in the finals so I was pleased to not be in the first few knocked out. I don't think I would have enjoyed this in pre-running days as I would be too creaky to leap for a catch. It's great to feel healthy and stong. Pretty sure I was the oldest one there. After the tournament we lazed in the pool and ate chips.

Fantastics thanksgiving dinner with the buttocks club afterwards, happy day!
Sore in interesting places today (sunday)
6 PM

Strength Stability Suppleness 5:00 [1]

Quad and knee strength squat variations.

Cycling 15:00 [2]

Walking warm up/down 8:30 [1]

Running (recovery) 16:00 [2]

Bike service run, hackett to home on grass and dirt. Felt unco today, funny how this still happens (especially if I start downhill). Backpack with bouncing helmet attached didn't help with flow.
Max of 1 breath per 6 steps. That's half the breathing of yesty's hills, interesting to keep track of this.

Cycling 17:00 [3]

To blackie.

Walking hills 25:57 [4]

Two fast walk reps of black from upper gate, down and up to Bot gdns FT then up SEQ track sprinting stairs at top. Reps:
13:22 (max - 2 breaths per 7 steps)
12:35 where I was breathing hard (max - 2 breaths per 6 steps)

Walked easily down concrete after each. Resisted running more than a few metres here and there and I think my knees liked this. Saw a Friarbird and a quite a few ppl all in non-running clothes. Nice to be in Inov8's again.

Walking 24:00 [2]

The down hills via concrete path. Stopped for a bit of stretch and squat variations.
7 PM

Cycling 25:00 [2]

Evening commute. Legs were toast from this morning's hills.

Cycling warm up/down 17:00 [2]

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga class) 1:30:00 [1]

Class was packed, for once everyone showed up. White mulberries continue to offer great picking.

Cycling warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Returning hall key. It feels like summer so I planted some lettuces and wild strawberries today which I should have done in spring.
8 PM

Running (recovery) 10:00 [3]

Short run in merrell road gloves (a few mls thick and zero drop) around local oval and parklands. Nice to run at night with a fingernail moon in a dark blue sky.

Walking warm up/down 20:00 [1]

w/u c/d and some walk breaks. Looking after legs.

Running 30:00 [2]

Imo slept in but I was grateful for the inspiration to get up early for a change. From warmem down to Mt A drive, up ST that runs along road and I ran the whole way to the end of this track which is an improvement over my usual run-walk pattern. Felt pleased with myself and next time I'll time the ascent. Ran along road then crossed to run Beacon FT.

At knoll I made a silly decision to go straight ahead and follow what looked like a track down the rocky spur. I had to walk since I'm looking after my knees. Crossed road and returned the same way with an unfortunate need for a private shrubbery that I thought I could do without and hence delayed until right near the houses. First time that's happened during a run (I think). Great to get it done (the run) and legs don't feel too bad.

Reminding myself that my aim at the moment is get the legs strong and injury/niggle free. There is a slight ache in L knee now if I extend against gravity, not too bad.

Walking warm up/down 30:00 [2]

w/u c/d and some rests and down hills.
