Cycling 25:00 [2]

This shouldn't count as training at all, just trying to encourage self. Excuses included that I was riding to opening night of In-Person-8 which means opening week of show which means busy and distracted. Actually did a lot of vigourous warming up and physical comedy. Hmm I could log that separately and feel more encouraged. Show was full of laughs and the audience seemed so into it. I am relieved!! and can't wait to impersonate SwissMiss next week on friday night 19 Sept should you want to come along and see that (and encourage (push her)) onto the stage. http://thestreet.org.au/

Running intervals (Bilbys) 21:00 [4]

I really enjoyed Bilbys tonight, especially now that I am warm and dry at home. Skipped the stretches, loved the drills as usual and felt good. Ints were long - 2 laps of the larger field then a recovery across the field and back. I decided to try and aim for 4 ints.

The Quinn came past at one point and muttered something encouraging so I said "Hey" which was more exhalation than English. It did inspire me to increase pace a bit so that by end of third int I was stuffed. So I recovered and did one more "Stuffed plus one" is a good number. On the last side I decided to surge to the end. At this point Grey Shirt (who had lapped me most) came past and I thought "I wonder what that pace feels like?" I ran next to him for the rest of the way and it felt great.

Nice chat to the Quinn afterwards about her awesome running form, Lex, training and how she changed form (completely) only 5 years ago. That's the same coach that Flan went to. It's obvious he's good at it. Also chatted to Nikki about impending trailACT excitement WOOT! So it's not just me.

Slight hammy pulling sensation during ints (from my back), still getting used to faster running.

Running 40:00 [3] 5.3 km (7:33 / km) +141m 6:40 / km

Run with imo on blackie on a warm Spring morning. I need to wear shorts from now on. We both decided that we needed a slow easy run due to a bundle of recent excuses, but after a bit of a warm up we decided to do some great running drills then set off at a medium pace around LBM. After a phone call (!) we stopped to do a few short hill reps and strides, watching each other's form. I worked harder than I expected and feel nicely used in the legs now.

Finally convinced imo to enter TrailACT (she was worried about being slowest, last etc. She won't be) so I'm very much looking forward to it now. Less than 2 weeks away.
