Walking 1:50:00 [2]

Fantastic fast walk with Flan and E and E from ttt to HH, along Powerlines FT at back of MtA all the way to turn R at (?Beacon) FT to head up to road, over road and continuing up a fab single track that I've never seen before. So good to find a new track on MtA. We ran this part to the top which felt good. Admired an exceptionally good view with mirror blue lake, had a drink at bubbler then down concrete, through WarMem and down to Rond Tce to see end of the Vets HM where Gramps and Bhole were finishing. Then we jogged to a rather distant carpark and drove to Wilburs for coffee with Gramps. Unfortunately I branched out into croissant land with a ham and cheese version. Too greasy and I remember that I don't really love ham, it's just that I was craving savoury. Toast next time.

Sunny warm day with top of 17C, most springy day yet and I feel like gardening... after this snooze. Only down side was my sunnies broke at start so a bit squinty, and didn't put on sunscreen either.

The running parts.

Cycling 30:00 [2]

Cycling 20:00 [2]

choku baijo for way too many kilos of produce for a bicycle. Just made it home without mishap. Might go for a slow little jog this arvo although it is raining a bit which makes me feel soft.

Cycling 24:00 [1]

Just a ride to civic and back to see The Modern Gentlemen (brilliant!). Feeling a bit under the weather this week and with so many sick kids around it's no wonder. Annoying headache today, but very glad I'm not actually sick enough to avoid anything (except hard exercise).

Strength Stability Suppleness (7-Min) 9:00 [5]

7 minute strength intervals program. Short, hard and easy to do with the app. It's the lazy cheapskate's gym program.

Walking 2:00:00 [1]

Speed walk with Flan and baby from house in watson, to top Majura, down to wilburs for coffee and vegemite toast, back to watson. Top morning in the sun and great to have Flan and E back for some FAST walk training. I felt very fit and strong.

Cycling 30:00 [2]

2* 15:00 to Flan's and back, barely arriving home in time.

Cycling warm up/down 15:00 [2]

To Blackie run-up.

Running (Blackie Run-up) 20:55 [4] 2.4 km (8:43 / km) +218m 6:00 / km

That's a PB. Woot! Knocked 48 seconds off previous best. Nice cool day (bit windy) and a big crowd. I tried to follow Gramps for a bit but couldn't keep up. Focused all the way on pushing the effort but never going over my theoretical red line. Spoke to no-one. Once I got to the steep concrete track I mostly walked but always ran the flatter bits. Recovered very quickly at the top which is the best thing about being fitter.

And it was really nice to get to the top before most had left. Much more fun to jog down with everyone else and I got a few "congrats" for my PB. These ppl are so friendly. Ran down chatting to Gramps all the way, felt easy and flowing and I probably achieved a PB for the down too.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

The run down (time is a guess).

Cycling 15:00 [2]

Cycling home, totally stuffed by now...

Running 45:00 [2] 6.0 km (7:30 / km) +188m 6:29 / km

Absolutely delighted to be running with imo again after her return from foreign flat fields. Today was a bit of a struggle (fighting off a virus, still winning) but the social part made it a top run. Running and talking too much is a great work out for the lungs... I hope.

Overcast and a bit damp but not cold; we started from Blackie substation, up FT to LBM saddle, down hill to run various single tracks and a few small hills, back up to saddle via Link FT and down to car.
