Cycling warm up/down 16:00 [2]
weight:60kg

About time I started logging again, lots to catch up on.
Cycled to Blackie.

Walking 20:00 [3]

Put in some effort from lower gate to top via SE Quarry path for a time of 13:45. I wonder if that's a PB? Felt pretty good today. Then I walked down to circum, ran a lap, walked down to bike.

Running 17:00 [3]

A delightful cruisy lap of circumcision where I felt very relaxed, not running fast, quite effortless. When I got to the stairs past a bridge I decided to do some stair reps. Did 10 as fast as possible, jogging down. Felt great! Wish I had a long flight of stairs conveniently on a trail somewhere. Apart from Stockyard Spur!!

Today was one of those extra good feeling runs, sunny and warm and I tucked up my shirt for Vit D. I'm good and tired now.

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga class) 1:30:00 [1]

I felt so strong in class today, the stongest I've felt since taking up running + yoga. What a great feeling. Also, it seems that yesterday's sliding in the snow in tractionless boots, plus long steep descending has fixed the R knee sub-niggle. hurray and a bit of a surprise.

Walking 3:13:00 [2] +960m

Stockyard Spur to Mt Gingera in the snow, best big hill training ever! It doesn't get better than this; a dream come true for Ben as well who took a day off work especially. It was sunny for the first hour, then overcast for rest of day and getting a bit dark in the arvo.

Easy walking up for the first hour or so until the snow started when I discovered that the soles of my boots are so worn that they slip a lot on ice, making it a very good workout for the muscles of lower legs. It took us a lot longer to get to top compared to June. The bush looks wonderful in the snow so we took lots of photos. Great views from the top unlike last time, and there was a tiny frozen (solid) lake and mini-glacier. I tested out my new Mandatory Gear ultra rain and wind jacket - verdict: perfect, although I wish I had remembered to remove the tags. Because of a dental problem over the previous week I had lost some weight and couldn't eat very easily so I was really cold with all layers on while Ben wore a t-shirt and shirt (with collar and buttons).

I tried some running on the way down, just for the hell of it and to take some photos. Running in the snow is seriously fun. Some useful timing points for future reference all measured from start: Big clearing at 52:30, Brindabella Rd at 2:16, Mt Gingera turn-off at 2:40, summit at 3:13.

On way down: gingera turnoff at 21:00, Stockyard FT at 51:30, big clearing at 2:02, Corin dam at 2:50. All stops for photos, clothing adjustment included in time, from memory it was half an hour faster up in June.

Walking 2:50:00 [2]

From summit down to dam. By next day I noticed that my R knee sub-niggle seems to have been fixed by the bush walk.
