6 min w/u 5 min c/d and the rest was all running (that's unusual).

Running (easy run) 20:00 [2]

Parked at usual tree on bruce ridge, walked to top and along to first water tank. Turned onto an mtb single track and did my usual 4 running drills. I ran all the (small) hills, making sure that effort stayed relaxed and easy. A very successful recovery and I feel much better than beforehand.

I had to hop out of the way for one group of cyclists, but I had plenty of warning due to some very squeaky brakes.

A total of 1:35 running and walking with hills on blackie. Felt a bit tired probably b/c I hadn't eaten enough food earlier and didn't take any with me. So I felt a bit ploddy and unco as I tried to keep it slow enough to get to the end. I wanted to do one more longer run before next weekend's Bush Cap 16k so I was determined not to cut it short, just added more walking breaks.

Around south side of LBM to explore trails in north west corner of blackie reserve, then to Callitris FT and headed south to fave SW spur ST, walked up this and managed to jog some flat parts which was pretty hard in state of tiredness (tough me!) then turned R at circum and down concrete to bike.

Did some drills early on but still felt clumsy. That's ok b/c I bet the next run will be a good one, and the next and next and especially the 16k. This will be my first repeat race (excluding parkrun and mtn run-ups) which is rather exciting!

The walk parts of above; 10mins warm up, hills, little rests and walk down from circum. Helps keep injuries away.

A most enjoyable social run with Cuz. We're hoping to make it a regular outing - yay! Met at hawdon, up to powerlines then turned left, just past dump turned R up Fire Trail (FT) to labyrinth, across to sculpture ST, up to high saddle. From here took the CCT down the other side of Little mt A, then left and contoured around thru lower saddle on a delightful Single Track (ST), back to hawdon.

Once I was warmed up I felt nice and light and coordinated, much better than yesty. Did a few accelerations near end. Cup of tea and a chat after made for a perfect mid-morning run. Home for a very late brekkie (I'd had only half a banana beforehand but felt fine). Hurray for up-regulation of fat metabolism.

A couple of laps of circumcision. A bit tired for second lap but it was a beautiful sunny day. I saw another of the amazing Native-cherry-thorax black spider. Such a striking looking beastie *reminder to self to identify spider. Also saw a scarlet robin. It was a red sort of day.

After a week of no running I felt unco again so did a few drills and tried to remember how to run. Didn't ever manage to flow along but it felt good to have exercised. Got a little wet at the end as Bot Gardens are installing sprinklers along the fence and were testing them.

The Impro festival ends with a final performance at Schnitz and Giggles tonight. So thrilling to play with special guests from around Aus and overseas. I can put my cello, piano and acting imagination down for a while and do a bit of running before the 16k Bush Cap Bush run.
Now to catch up on sleep!
