Running 1:16:00 [2] 11.6 km (6:33 / km)

Got on bike while temp was still below zero and rode to meet a small frappe sipping crowd at TTT. K was sleepy/confused and introduced herself as me (and was teased about it for rest of morning). We set off in a northerly direction on CCT with gramps keeping me company at a slower pace until he peeled off for a comfort stop. At that point I wished I'd paid attention to where we were going (with stu and K out of sight). I followed the CCT markers past a fresh car accident (with sirens, police, ambos) just into Goorooroorooroo reserve. I turned around and pretty soon met gramps again Yay. We took the upper FT on way back, got more sun and had a lovely chatty pootle back to ttt.

Brekkie of tea and scrambled eggs on toast at cafe stu was great, especially b/c my regular sunday company showed up. Fabulous start to the day and I'm stoked that I did more than 10k without really noticing. Can't wait to try this route again and get further into gooroo - nice to join up 2 areas.

Cycling 15:00 [3]

Speeding to ttt because I thought I'd be late. But I wasn't. Good warm up on a frozen morning.

Walking 50:00 [1]

A pleasant, sunny 14.5C, social walk up Blackie with S. Waved hello to robw and acejase on the way up. We had so much to catch up on so it was all panting and chatting up the SthEast quarry track. The conversation turned to last weekend's gourmet feast and then to cooking in general. Just after I'd described one of the worst meals I'd ever had, we sprinted the last stairs to the top to find the author of that meal standing next to the monument thing. Aaaaah!
S elbowed me meaningfully while I straightened my face then shaped it into the smile for "Oh hello, this is a surprise". I think we got away with it - must have been only just out of hearing.

Running 45:00 [3]

I went for a run
A run in the sun
The run it was fun
Until I was done
golden brown on every side.
That's the new colour of my hide...

Nah, I'm still as pale as always but I did have a lovely run up Majura - up from Grayson and down via ttt. I got some cheerful "hellos" from a few walkers and startled another who was listening to music. I said hello from behind and he lurched sideways and hit a tree. oops.
Did quite a bit of running on way up and enjoyed the transition from run to fast legs walk and back to run. The last bit of steep FT from shoulder was over so quickly. On way down I practised changing from duck to zoom to duck. Hill felt easy today, hurray!

Swimming 10:00 [1]

After a recommendation from someone's friend we found some wonderful and very deep rocky swimming holes on a creek in Deua NP. Would have been a perfect spot on a hot sunny summer's day. All we had was "day". If I've been colder than that swimming it's too long ago to remember. After so much rain and being winter it was ankle numbingly freezing. It was hours before I was completely warm again. But the water slide was great and somehow you feel fantastic after a freezing swim and sleep very well later.

More hours around fire eating John's brilliant and simple creations. There was a long power blackout so we couldn't pack, clean up, tidy or leave to go home, so we had to stay an extra night. John cooked on top of the fire showing his versatility. So Not disappointed. Absolutely top weekend!
