Majura and HH with Flan, E and M. Cold windy and wintery so great to get out in it. Was not intending to do any running, but then...

Running intervals 26:00 [4]

V had the great idea that we should do 6 5 4 3 2 1 mins with 1 min recoveries, over HH and behind Ainslie. It was fun passing each other as V looped back. It was pretty hard to keep going at the end - I had a great desire to walk. V reckons this will help me keep going at the end of a run-up or parkrun. Total distance for running + walking was 14k - Huge!

We saw D. Baldwin doing some TNF training just as we finished and stopped for a chat, and I saw him again on the cycle home looking very relaxed. Very hungry on way home!

Up Majura from kate's place. We weren't going fast but my legs were completely empty, felt almost faint. Must have been low on food. Beef stew from slow cooker was very welcome afterwards.

Cycling warm up/down 17:00 [2]

I took 12:34 from upper blackie gate (near beginning of concrete track) to top via run-up route, trying to walk fast and efficiently and running the flatter parts. Then mostly walked down to Aranda underpass via Conservation ST + some gentle running which gave me a good 30mins of warming up for hill reps.
Walked back to bike at end.

Running hills 15:00 [4]

Hill running including 5 x 30secs fast hills with 30 recoveries, tough but I actually enjoyed it. Did some slower longer hill reps before and after this to warm up and cool down. Used Conservation ST again.

Dawn run with Imo on Ainslie from Warmem via labyrinth track to top then down concrete path. Pretty hard after yesty even though we were running very slowly with loads of walk breaks. Surprised susan :))

Walking warm up/down 20:00 [1]

W/up/down and also lots of little walk breaks.

Cycling 25:00 [2]

Cycling to W/M and back in time for one class followed by breakfast with Susan and Caroline. Mmmm lots of toast and a drinkable pot of leaf tea - not something you find everyday.

First class of new term. After suffering through the break it was great to put the body back into order.

Running warm up/down 37:00 [2]

Running intervals (Bilbys) 15:00 [4]

4 x 700 with 100 walk recoveries. Felt a bit unco until I took my shoes off - then suddenly felt like I was running better and faster (?!) Should take them off after warm up run next time. I like the new venue better as I can jog there.
