Running long 30:00 [2]

Fantastic to be on Mt Majura and Ainslie again. I'm going to call it an hour and 20mins of exercise (with 30min of run) but there were enough social chat stops, water stops and sitting down that it's a guess. I was out for a lot longer but I understand that chatting to MaryMac and sitting on a knoll for 20mins birdwatching do not make me bacon-worthy. Creme of mushroom soup fog (pea soup is green, fog was not green) meant that there was no point making vit D so I was fully clothed against the elements.

After a nice chat to a runner just coming back from knee op who was also pretty happy to be back, I set off up FT to saddle, over HH, back over HH towards ainslie, up CCT to top where I actually saw the devil. That doesn't happen every day, and for the record the devil wears red and black as you would expect. And hokas.

Said hi to GrantM (in league with devil) and wound down first on CCT where I had a nice chat to MaryMac who was looking great apart from her knee, then finding nice STs and eventually decided that I had better not overdo it so walked to top of a knoll that usually has good wildlife. Saw a couple of wallabies and many species of birds including tree-creepers, eastern spine bills and a grey currawong, alll the time being dripped on due to birds shaking the wet casurina above my head. Mainly walked back to bike, stretched a bit and rolled home.

Walking 30:00 [1]

A gentle come-back walk on majura with kate, trying to correct my vit D deficiency while the clouds parted. It was raining by the time we got back. Felt ok afterwards so going to try a Creaky Old Crockatoos style run/walk tomorrow. The purple sick button is OFF! May it stay that way for a while.

Kate and family were a bit shocked to see me in my Max vit D Manufacture outfit. I suppose I am usually more of a Fair-Skinned-Fartleker and dress accordingly. Kate's teenage daughter said "That's what people my age wear to exercise!". Oh dear...

Walking 21:00 [1]
weight:60kg

On Bruce Ridge with Imo. Best come back session so far. Imo thought I looked a lot better than when I tried this a few weeks ago so. Lovely on brucie with light rain, no wind and no-one else about. Tried running for one minute - felt ok so did 6 x 1min very gentle runs, then 2 x 2min. Really not too bad so I'm very hopeful that this is the beginning of regular running and walking again. I wore my second best shorts... not quite ready to commit to favourite running gear.

Yoga did knock me out a bit yesty, found it difficult to teach the last lesson - so tired mentally. I'll see how I pull up this arvo.

Running 10:00 [1]

6 x 1min, 2 x 2min. Very slow and gentle.
Hammies hurt with every step but I know that this always settles down over weeks or months when my spine adjusts to running again. The miracle of the last few weeks is that my back hasn't been a problem. It's the first time I can remember that inactivity _hasn't_ led to back pain and problems. So in general, I am doing something right with all the exercise and the yoga - a pretty huge breakthrough really :)

last class of the term. Some great postures today and I did the whole class. Still not my fit self but hoping this week is the turnaround.
