A very very good run on B Ridge with Flan, couldn't have been better. Early, cool, overcast. Cycled to carpark for Ridge. Was expecting flan to turn up on foot as she was going to make it a long run by adding the 10k or so from her house and back. She turned up on a bike and I thought oh no, it's not going to be slow. Warmed up with an easy run on FT's to the start of the logrun hill (about 10 minutes). Only had to walk a few metres here and there to warm up although felt a bit of morning slowness (had 2 x tea with Ym but no brekkie).

We stopped for a moment then had a really good 30 minutes of hard for me, cruisy for flan, as I showed her my favourite string of mtb tracks, hills and changing vegetation, taking in the end of Ridge back to where health run meets Pipeline FT. It was much nicer than when I tried it a few days ago because no traffic noise. Continued down health run to bottom, up daviesia to end at the FT hill at side of caravan park. Flan then did 5x (42-43 second) hills absolutely nailing the pace every time while I operated timing device and enjoyed the activities of a white throated tree creeper.

After a very necessary rest we had a 10 minutes cool down then cycled back to mine for tea and chat. Absolutely top morning all round after a blissful sleep after an osteo treatment of neck and head.
