Bit of an epic in the lakes that turned into Pete and I vs storm Brian. We knew it was going to get rough but we'd been planning something like this for a while so decided to go ahead with it. Started with a long continuous climb out of Conniston that was pretty windy/wet but doable. We headed up onto a ridge leading up to the old man and then the weather just turned insane. We were getting absolutely battered and eventually could hardly stand up let alone run so we had to bail, drop down a bit then wing it trying to find out way back.
A little disappointing not to make it up the old man like we planned and we both got very cold/wet but still an awesome experience.

Staying in Warrington with Pete so we hit up the local parkrun. Felt fine warming up but within about a k my legs just started to feel really heavy and a busy week with not much sleep caught up with me. Stayed just behind Pete and a couple of other good guys until about the 3km mark then dropped away to no mans land where I just couldn't get myself motivated. Main positive was that at least I didn't have my barcode with me so this won't go on my record...

Not feeling particularly speedy or motivated but got it done. In a park with a maze of paths with lots of sharp bends so definitely felt like my Garmin was underestimating the distances for each rep. Had what I thought was a creepy stalker start following me near the end but then it turned out he just wanted to join in the reps so I made a friend and had some company for the last couple.
