Scottish Orienteering League - Mugdock - Short Brown
Overall a decent run with no major mistakes. Went longer path route when should've gone direct a couple of times at #1 and #10. DaveR caught me up enroute to #17 though didn't realise who it was for a while since he didn't have an o top on. Managed to get ahead of him again by a better line down the hill to #19 then we went our separate ways round the loch, me west, him east, only to meet again more or less at #20. Was easy running and navigation to the finish though was lacking speed given recent bugs. Happy overall. Used new compass for the first time, baseplate Silva, and found it much better than previous ones.

Road Running 2:00 [2] 0.3 mi (6:40 / mi) +10m 6:02 / mi

Minimal warm down before having to shoot off home.

ahr:134 max:155

Run from the house up to the Golf course then directly up to Cockleroi via the easy gully scramble. Headed across to Guthrie's then followed the very muddy bike track through the woods parallel with south edge. Tempos not ideal with no grip! Down to the loch car park then over hill house then home. Enjoyed exploring a few new bits though everything really muddy. HR definitely higher than normal after two colds. Misty driech day.

Run from the boulder up the bog, up the gutted haddie to nether, then back down to the boulder via the tourist descent. Nice to get out though fairly puffing after the latest cold. At least lungs felt reasonably clear. Bright and breezy conditions. Out with Kev, Andy, Marco, Murray and Cameron.

Road Running 14:09 [2] 1.89 mi (7:29 / mi) +30m 7:08 / mi
ahr:132

Run back to work, into the wind!

Bike 10:00 [1] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)

Cold coming back to bite me. Not sure if it's a new one or the old one. Either way, time for a rest.
