ahr:93 max:140

Rock climbing (Dolly Sods) 5:00 [3]

Tiny bit of bouldering on some rocks that were next to the trail... of course I couldn't resist and had to climb :) (I even brought my climbing shoes with me but I didn't realize how darn cold it would be and my hands were freezing)
12 PM

Backpacking (Dolly Sods) 3:46:28 [2] 13.3 km (17:02 / km) +217m 15:45 / km

Backpacking (Dolly Sods) 1:19:41 [3] 4.16 km (19:09 / km) +106m 16:59 / km
ahr:119 max:165

Spent most of the day in the car so I couldn't do much else :(
We got there pretty late, so we didn't hike too far. We ended up setting up camp just in time before it got dark. But man it was so cold

Note

Does archery count as exercise? Probably not, but man my arms were hurting afterwords. It's been so long since I used a bow.

Orienteering 1:00:05 [3] *** 5.05 km (11:54 / km) +110m 10:44 / km
ahr:142 max:177 14c

We took the map for the red course from QOC's most recent meet there and ran the first 14 controls (we were tired and wanted to check out the botanical garden too)
It went fairly well, there was just one control I wasn't sure which feature to put it on and a few others that I approached differently than I would on a normal meet, because there were no flags, and I wouldn't see the feature from far away.

Running warm up/down 4:39 [3] 0.7 km (6:39 / km) +3m 6:30 / km
ahr:164 max:173

Quick and very short cool down

Strength Training (Sokol livestream) 35:00 [1]

Some of the exercises were too painful/dificult for me to do right now considering how tired and sore I am so I kinda slacked on those

They were 2 sets of 10 exercises (done for 35 secs each, 10secs in between)
I don't remember the exercises that we did, I just know they were painful

+ warm up and cool down stretches

Rock climbing (Carderock) 2:00:00 [1]

Finally climbing, and it was awesome to be outdoors. I reviewed how to make a good anchor point for top rope, and then Jamie and I started kindof improvising with our climbs. We climbed in two spots, and we did two routes in the first spot and three in the second, so 5 climbs in total. Not bad, given how much time it took to set up the anchor :)
All of the climbs I originally planned for us to do were taken, so we found an area that looked relatively easy and climbed there, trying to get as many routes from an area as possible. Turns out we made up like 2 or 3 of the climbs, but that's fine. The only two I found grades for were a 5.2 and a 5.6 (they felt way harder than that but oh well it's outdoors)

I had so much fun, it was nice to climb with just my friend and myself. It was nice and chill, and we had fun experimenting with outdoor climbing :)
(also I am insanely proud of setting up an anchor point all on my own lol)

Strength Training (Sokol livestream) 40:00 [3]

It was work with a medicine ball. There were 3 sets of 12-ish exercises (I wasn't counting) that we did for 30sec each, with 10 sec rest in between. It was a mix if core and upper body, with a tiny bit of lower body. According to my mom it was a lot of lower body, but I beg to differ :)
6 PM

Orienteering (Lake Needwood) 1:38:07 [3] *** 7.76 km (12:39 / km) +207m 11:09 / km
ahr:141 max:193 13c

6.1 km course that I put together real quick this morning. I was hanging streamers, and my mom was checking them. Honestly, a pretty fun course if I do say so myself :)
I'll post an image of the map later, I'm curious to hear some feedback
8 PM

Note

Here's the map I made today (with my routes drawn in), any feedback?
