Orienteering race 47:43 [3] 4.98 km (9:35 / km) +20m 9:24 / km
Long Orange at Hockham. 4,98km/20 m
Interesting terrain with nettles, pine forest, deep drainage ditches, detailed vegetation mapping, and a large area of small ponds which had forestry management so the event couldn't use it.
The run itself went ok but I didn't make the best route choices on a few of the controls for~3-4 minutes of lost. On control 7, I was coming out of a control on a thicket and I tried to jump a 1.5 m wide, 1 m deep drainage ditch. It didn't work, and I was up to my waist in water. On control 10, I went across a large section of woods and hit the control exactly! That was success so I ran the rest of the course fast.
Last orienteering in Britain!
