Good day for it. was feeling good until we got to the bottom of the 3 sisters and glad to be done.

Driving up to Katoomba the back way so I got Ally to drop me off at Jenolan Caves road so I could ride through the megalong valley. Thought it would take 2-2.5hrs...
My brakes were metal on metal within 5 k. Nice ride through Jenolan State forest down Mini Mini Road. Stopped to let 3 guys on motor cross bikes coming up the steep climb pass then started again, got some air off a water bar and pulled off a superman as my shoe wasn't climbed in. Landed with my pubis on the seat and somehow skidded to a stop... time to take it a little easier in the middle of know where.. The trail was steep but rideable.
Got to fill up the only bottle of water I had at cox's river tank and have the only Carbo SHotz gel I had with me.
The swing bridge was challenging to get across with the bike and the ride up the 6 foot track was tough with lots of getting off at rock steps.
It was getting dark as i carried the bike up the last push to the explorers tree. Bloody stuffed and needing some food/beer.
