First 2 controls I felt good and nailed. 3rd I ran around the left of the hill which was all good until I hit an area of bracken and assumed id over run the leg as change in vegetation was the only feature past the control so i ran around trying to find the termite mound, then relocated off the rocks behind the control. Still couldn't find it so decided I must have pulled up early and to try and keep running further. Got to the right area but still couldn't find the control ( as it was hidden by the bracken) and I recon the termite mound is 20-30m south of where it is mapped. There goes 9mins.
Took a bit to get going again, then was off at 6 and ended up in a group with Parto and Brownridge. Tried to run away on 11 but stubbed my foot and then missed the control but a bit. Thought about running back as my foot a pretty sore and I felt there was a good change of doing some proper damage out there, I'm just out of practice running through rocky ground.
Ended up taking it easy until I got back to the loops where it was easier to run.
Glad to have finished, especially seeing as only 3 stingers finished and I got the top points. Guess that means I get some funding??

2015 ACT Middle Distance Championships, National League # 8

Had a crack for the first leg but missed the punch.. groin was a bit niggly afterwards. Saw Marlin exiting their 2nd control and got sucked into it but it was wrong and ran around before finding ours. Missed one of the controls later in the course 13 maybe, got to the feature but didn't check the other side and then ran around.
So a couple of mistakes and feeling like a cyclist trying to run...
