MTB race (LRG4) 10:00 [5]

Was the last too choose a bike and got the choice of one with a wheel that didnt spin and on that was kids size. Chose the smaller one and it was shit. Got knocked out in the first half. Pretty fun still

MTB race (LRG4) 30:00 [5] 7.0 km (4:17 / km)

A bigger bike helped. Made the wrong mistake of changing the peddals during the race to mine, but took too long.
Rode pretty well though, getting away from rob. Came back alittle away from the leaders

Rogaine race (LRG4) 1:12:00 [5] 7.0 km (10:17 / km) +345m 8:15 / km
shoes: new balance 790

The race continued on after the ride, and we had a total to finish the 2 in 1''45 so i had 75 min to get the points. I was feeling pretty good. Got the first few with no problems. Caught Kris Clausen but he decided to climb a cliff from 4 to 5 but i decided to run back around not looseing much time. I caught Jarod at 6 and ran with him 7 and 8. He got away from me coming into 8 but he for some reason tried to straight line it to the finish travelling back up the cliffs and over the ridges. I just headed down to a road at the bottom that lead back to the finish. Only myself and Kris got all the controls in the time. Jarod came back 5 mins over time...

Note

The wkend finished with a 80m abseil which was pretty cool.

Jarod and Matt Sheild got the spots, with christie and Zoe King... a bit of a shock selection... not who i would have picked. Would like to know what they made their decisions on... obviously not on actual ARing??

Adventure Race race (LRG4) 35:00 [5]
shoes: new balance 790

Morning started with a early drive out to Dargan's Dam.
We first had to split into teams and push a car across a gravel pit.
This was then followed by a obstacle race which was unreal!!
It started with a swim, followed by a cliff jump, swim, paddle, bush run, swim, rope climb, flying fox into water, swim, abseil with a half rope back into the water, and short swim to the finish! The first swim i smashed and lead out of the water. But i was then smashed for the second swim and paddle. The last few swim i struggled, and for once felt i would have like a PFD! Finished heat in 3rd.

Note

Spent the rest of the day 4x4ing!!! pretty fun, and the Landrover Discovery is amazing! just drove itself! Was suprised at the stuff they had us driving through. Also suprised noone wrote off a $100 000 car!

Adventure Race race (LRG4) 30:00 [1]

Teams of 4 had to collect 3 controls, catch was that the person with the map (me) had to use hand signals 50m away to explain where the controls were. Pretty difficult but my team did well coming back in 3rd

Note

The bus picked us up and dropped us of at Land Rover head quarters where we were divided into groups of 4 and given a car! We got the Defender first up and it is a beast! We all took off in convoy and headed up the mountains.

Rogaine race (LRG4) 42:00 [5] 5.6 km (7:30 / km) +197m 6:23 / km
shoes: new balance 790

The first challenge was a 45min rogaine. Started with 10 push ups and a 200m run before getting the maps. I didnt even look at a route just picked a control that others were heading too and took off. There was a bit of a fight at the first control and got held back a few places. Ben and Jarod decided to go and get controls 1 and 2 which were out on their own so i made the decision to skip them and try and do a loop getting the rest. It paid off and i came back first, only missing 2 of the controls. Started with a win!. Great way to start to the wkend.

Swimming race (LRG4) 6:30 [5] 0.4 km (16:15 / km)

400m swimming TT. I think i did about 6'30 but unsure because they never gave results. Had a bit of traffic in the pool.
We also had an obstacle course.
