Race with Mounty and andy in team.

Leg 1 - Started in Minnamurra with a tubing section across the very cold Rocklow Creek and then a run of 5 controls through Killalea State Park to the first transition just behind the gun team of Julian/Grant/Ben.

Leg 2 - Consisted of ~7 controls on the bike through Killalea State Park. I was just trying to hang on to Mounty and Prong.

Leg 3 - Coasteering section around Bass Point, unfortunately lost a few minutes overunning 1 control. Prong was killing the running while Mounty and I were struggling to keep up with him.

Leg 4 - Another ride, this time through streets to Blackbutt Forest Reserve.

Leg 5 - Orienteering in Blackbutt. Here we caught the other team again as a few of the controls had been stolen so we didn't have to do most of the course.

Leg 6 - Long ride firstly through single trail through Blackbutt and then streets along Lake Illawarra to the coast. I was now really struggling to keep the pace on the bike especially on the single trail.

Leg 7 - Short kayak still with the leaders neck and neck.

Leg 8 - Short ride to the finish and a bonus leg of running to the end of Windang Island and back finishing a few minutes behind Julian/Grant/Ben but well ahead of 3rd.

I was feeling great
