Catalog of errors. Pippa was playing in a concert at Ushaw College at 2pm, so I thought I'd go for a long bike ride ending there. Plan was out through Meadowfiled, TowLoaw, Stanhope, maybe Rookhope, over to Blanchland, and back through Edmundbyers. However, just before leaving at 10:30am I checked how long a similar (slightly shorter?) ride took before and it was 4hrs! So reined back in my ambition. And then back in further when I realised there was a huge headwind, and I was getting cold. Only got to Tow Law then had a glorious tailwind on the way back.
