Pippa was having an orchestra playing day near York, so I dropped her and drove to Helmsley then went for a long ride. Felt like hard work. 10km undulating to Kirbymoorside, then 15km gradually uphill to Blakey Ridge / Lion Inn, which was pleasant out on the moors, but a slog. Drop to Westerdale then a steep hill, then round to Clay Bank. Felt dead at the top, and new it was still 16 miles back to Helmsley, but mostly downhill or undulating, apart from one stiff climb. Glad to make it back. Think MTB yesterday took moor out of me than I'd thought.

NYMBO mountain bike score from Beckwithshaw near Harrogate. 2 hour score, not done one for a long time, forgot it is completely infeasible to attempt to get them all, and ended up on the way home, knew I was going to be late, almost within touching distance of a 20 and 30 pointer, but had to get back. Still 8 minutes over. More points got than Pippa, but my penalty put me back down, and she won overall (out of everyone) - great effort. Need to up my game!
