Haven't orienteered in ages thanks to sprained ankle and working Sunday's so felt really sluggish mentally. First time running with my ankle taped up which felt very weird to begin with. Some fairly uneven ground meant my ankle kept tweaking, slowing me down a bit. Drifted slightly leaving the start but corrected quickly and it probably helped anyway as it meant I was contouring rather than straight up and down. Too far north at 2, but wouldn't have called the area yellow to be honest.. (lost 30secs). Bad route choice to 3 (lost ~20secs), spiked 4,5,6. Drifted hugely to 7 and then on wrong part of slope (Lost 1min). Slightly disorientated and distracted going to 8 but found it easily. Biggest mistakes at 9 and 10- thought I was further on than I was at 9(lost ~2mins) and completely mixing up the paths at 10, not 100% what I actually did wrong but had to back track (lost ~4mins). Spiked 11,12,13,14. Went to another control further along the veg boundary at 15 (lost 1min). Spiked 16 and 17.
