Essentially managed to do fuck all since the 21st of January, what with an injured knee, then the EUOC lurgy following the Christmas Weekend.

Feeling a bit fat and unfit, but going for a nice big cycle tomorrow and an actual run on Sunday. Then from Monday it can start properly again, get some proper lifting done. Also potentially a run or two, if I'm lucky.

60s per ankle on Bosu between sets

Agility ladder
3x 1 in each (High knees)

2+2 Lateral high knees
2+2 In/Out
4x Ickey shuffle
4x Reverse Ickey shuffle

10x Box jumps + landing
5+5 Single leg box jumps + landing
5x Box rebound jumps + landing

3x8 Overhead reverse lunge (25kg)

Feeling like death warmed up, so all the weights stayed stupid low. Knee felt fine though, which is good
3x8 Deadlift (60 warm-up, 80kg)
3x8 Back squat (40 warm-up, 70kg)
3x8 Dumbbell benchpress (22kg DB)

Didn't have time for core, had to head to KB to remap all the new stuff

Clearly there wasn't going to be training getting done today. Eating a greasy breakfast in a cafe was struggle enough. Also the cold which was basically gone yesterday returned with a vengeance

Including 1.5km warm-up with Katie, Calum and Stephen

Started off on the ROMP course in Inshriach, got about 2km in then twisted my knee. I figured I didn't want to make it worse, so bailed out to the paths and went for a yog. Proper nice day, and some seriously fun paths to run along. Bumped into Calum doing the same thing backwards, and he recommended the "nicest pond [he'd] ever seen" which I obviously couldn't pass up.

Also have lost my HR monitor somewhere in the house

Decided to not do the Friday training on Christmas weekend, and went for a cycle instead. Contrary to what Nixon and Mark reckoned, I did actually manage to leave the house.

3 laps of the Seat, absolutely breathing out my arse, getting a bit ill. Queens Drive was a bit crazy through the park as they were setting up for the Winter Run the next day. The road was "closed", but they didn't seem to mind me weaving my way through.

Then had a (genuinely) fun 3 hour drive up to Nethy Bridge, loving the sights

Hanging out controls for the ESOC Hair of the Dog. Very stop-starty, spent about half an hour jogging and another 50 minutes actually hanging all the controls and attaching the maps and everything.

Knee started to hurt a little towards the end, I'm going to assume it's still just bruising. Needs to have been at least 2 weeks of soreness before I cough up the money for the physio

Didn't get up in time for a cycle, so walking to the shops and back was my exercise today
