Middle F course - Allean
Pretty horrible area with so many thinnings and entire trees fallen down. So quite often could see where you wanted to get but had to run a long way around to get there. Disastrous start to 1 and 3, but got going well from 5-11.

Middle Q course - Allean
Actually really enjoyed this one, despite everyone else hating it. Finally put in several controls in a row where I was navigating properly and got into a good rhythm. Mispunched the 3rd control though by going to the girls one instead. I thought at the time it was a bit too close to the main track but just assumed it was mine as it was on the same feature within 50 metres of the boys control.

Just cruising around but enjoyed it a lot :) Nice to be able to run properly without stumbling through snow and fallen trees.

Training camp up near Pitlochry with EUOC.

One-man relay (2 loops) - Dalnamein
Mass started but didn't really end up running with anyone after the first control. Navigating terribly and struggling to run, just falling over thinnings and into freezing marshes constantly. Had one section where I was running well from 9-12, the rest were hopeless.

Long Training - Baluain
Couldn't even find the track to the start triangle so just ended up starting from the waterfall. Okay but very slow up until 5 where the map/vegetation was just terrible. Eventually heard Conor shouting to Beth that it was back the other way so just followed the voices. Cut up to 7 and just stumbled across the control on the smallest rock ever. Managed to get caught in all the thinnings on the way to 8 as well. Then just jogged slowly back down the hill to 9 and the finish.

Woke up with a really sore back and didn't improve all day so no training today. Got the sprint training to do on another day instead.

Same session as 2 weeks ago. Took the km's slightly slower and just made such a big difference to how I felt for the rest of the session. Felt tough, but good. Such a lovely sunny evening too :)

Sunny birthday run around Blackford and the edge of Braids. Right foot (tendon) really sore for the first 5mins, then eased off to a dull ache the rest of the run. Couldn't run freely down hill at all.
