Feeling pretty exhausted after yesterdays efforts. So just took it steady. Couple of mistakes on 3 and 4. Ended up 4mins behind Shamus and 1min behind Bill.

OY2 - Sprint at Henley Lake
Felt a lot better in this race, less hills :p Tried to go through the streams a few too many times which just resulted in me getting stuck in undergrowth. But pretty simple course really. 3rd again...20secs down on Shamus and 5sec on Bill. Looking at splits I was 20 seconds in the lead at the third to last control but somehow managed to lose 1min to Bill on the next leg?? No idea how...thought I'd only lost ~10secs by trying to run straight then realising the stream was too overgrown to cross and going round.

Arrived with only 30mins before my race and had to try and find a friend who had a club singlet for me to borrow. So ended up being a very rushed warm up, didn't even manage any strides and turned up at the start line just as they were lining everyone up.

Regional Athletics Meet Palmerston North - 1500m.

First lap started out quite cruisy with noone wanting to take up the lead, so I took up the pace for the second and third laps. Just didn't have the extra speed to keep up with the other girls in the final 300m and ended up in 4th.
Knocked 9 seconds off my pb so pretty happy with that :)

Regional Athletics Meet Palmerston North - 3000m.

Wasn't going to do this race as my stomach was feeling pretty bad after the 1500. But decided to do it as good tempo training. Took the first 2 laps steady then was feeling really good so started to overtake people and push harder. Surprised myself by taking a massive 28 seconds off my pb so super happy :D

Awesome training on a new map. Think I chose the best routes for most of the legs, bit hesitant on 18 where I hadn't read ahead and planned the leg. About 45 seconds behind Shamus and the same in front of Bill.
