Orienteering race (Aus Relay champs) 1:09:55 [5] ***** 7.5 km (9:19 / km) +300m 7:46 / km

Very pleased with my run today. Well done to the team for finishing a tough course. Made a 2 min mistake on number 7 through the rocky side of the hill out of the spectator, but generally good for the rest of the course. Enjoyed the longer style legs through the same map, made for some interesting route choice. Great end to the carnival.

Navigation was something I really focused on today, and for the most part it was good. Small 2 min mistake going downhill, short leg to 14, my bearing was slightly off and I drifted into the rock to the left of the control. The long leg to 19 i went straight down and up the hill, physically a bad move and wasted a bit of time stopping for breath. Fumbled around for a min at the top of the hill running a bit off to the right (towards #1), making it an 11 min leg. Would have liked it to be around 8-9 min.

Run with Alex just to get the legs moving. leg muscles were tight, almost cramping the whole way. Good to loosen them up a bit.
