I was eager to run in the Swedish forests again, so I did an old Tuesday night course from the clubhouse. Mandus joined me. I was feeling pretty sluggish and not very focused, but I was really enjoying running on NĂ¥sten and smelling Scandinavian marshes. It was a very pleasant feeling after the not very enjoyable Swiss terrain.

A hike away from the crowds at Plitvicka Jezera National Park in Croatia with Alli, complete with swimming under a gorgeous waterfall. Really spectacular! Absolutely worth a visit. I'll have to come back here to orienteer for sure.

Open Long course at the sprint in Krk at the Croatian 5-Days. Lots of fun, complete with taking a boat to the start and swimming in the Adriatic after the finish! Lots of friendly and familiar faces here, including Csaba, Patrick and Mari, George and Lyn, and the Fluegels.

Hiking in Triglav National Park in Slovenia with Alli. Climbed up a nearly vertical stone wall to a beautiful mountain lake, jumped in the lake, and climbed down after waiting for most of a lightning storm to pass. Intense hike and beautiful scenery!

P.S. The GPS track does something weird. We really only climbed up about 700 vertical meters, not 1600. That would make this higher than Mont Blanc!

Hiking in the Dolomites. Alli and I climbed partway up Sass Rigais until just below the via ferratas that require harnesses and helmets that we did not have. Amazing views from the saddle we got to. The Dolomites are such stunning mountains! As with all the spots we visited on this whirlwind trip, I'd love to come back here.
