Soccer scrimmage in New Jersey. Played ok, but felt tired after an hour or so.

Long run in Central Park with Clem. First, 4 x 1.6 mile loops around the resrvoir, followed by a 6.1 mile road loop.

I didn't feel too good the whole way, and my foot started really hurting (overpronation?) in the last few miles of the road loop.

Went rollerblading in Central Park with my friend Peter, who was on a bike. He went at his cruising speed and i tried to keep up. Pretty hard workout - we timed two 6-mile loops in Central Park - 27 and 31 minutes.

Went out for an easy, long rollerblade in Brooklyn.

Went out at a hard pace with Clem at Central Park, but couldn't keep up and dropped pace a lot for the last couple of miles. Very unhappy with myself for being unable to maintain speed.

Two 6-mile loops with Clen in Central Park. Felt ok, but still not at desired level of cvonditioning. Am really sore the day after.

On this ridiculously hot and humid day (95 degrees in NYC), i went out rollerblading for the first time since getting a new set of wheels. Still have no brakes though... Went all over Brooklyn at a pretty high speed, but had to stop for traffic lights and such.

Interval workout in Central Park with Clem:
15-minute warm-up followed by intervals - 2x600 yd with 300 rest and 6x400 yd with 200 rest followed by 15 minute cool-down.
Felt very tired, definitely need to work on endurance...

One Central Park 6-mile loop late in the evening with Clem, after raising him from the much-needed beauty sleep he was engaged in most of the evening. :)

Orienteering (local meet) 57:55 [5] 4.5 mi (12:52 / mi)

Local meet at Pakim Pond in New Jersey. An easy, pretty fast Red course - was pleased with my orenteering until the last control, when i inexplicably ran straight to the finish without punching and had to come back, losing 2:40. Also, definitely felt tired towards the end of the course. Badly need to work on conditioning and speed endurance. 6:25 behind Clem, but only 3:45 without the stupid final mistake...

Orienteering (local meet) 1:34:06 [4] 5.0 mi (18:49 / mi)

First orienteering since the Billygoat - a local meet at Surebridge. Felt ok, but not great physically and orienteered very sloppily. Also, sudden stomach ache towards the end of the course reduced me to walking/jogging last 2-2.5km. About 8:30 minutes of mistakes... 26 minutes behind Greg Balter!!!!

Distance run around Central Park reservoir - pace a little faster than desired "easy", but a nice workout. Lap times: 11:34, 11:41, 10:45

Started playing in Cosmopolitan Soccer League for the Jersey City Saints - first practice.
