Orienteering 33:35 5.0 km (6:43 / km)
After visiting friends in Philadelphia on Friday night and Saturday morning, we drove up to Eagle Rock, NJ for HVO's pre-Billygoat training. The training consisted of a control picking course of 50 controls, commemorating Nadya Popova's 50 years in orienteering! Very cool.
This was my first attempt at running since knee surgery February 22, so I took it quite easy. Things felt good, except for being out of shape. The sciatic pain that has been bugging me for a few weeks wasn't particularly bad when running, and finding controls in the forest once again was a blast. It never fails to amaze me how much I enjoy orienteering whenever I get a chance to do it.
The day continued with a fabulous evening of games and hanging out with Alex, Ed, Ian, and Katie.
