Ran from Pilot Knob on the Centennial Trail. Good run, definitely feeling the last two weeks but was strong on the way back and really focused on rolling the downhills. Right ankle / achilles was tight.

Easy early run from the Chalet today before heading out for the day of sight seeing. Altitude seemed to be working overtime today.

- 12min WU (1.6mile), 7:30 Active and explain the WO, 5mile progression run (6:53, 6:32, 6:14, 5:31, 6:14) Total - 31:34, 15min CD.

Really good WO today. Ran with Rebekkah for the first three miles, first mile was strong off day, 2nd mile was just under Tempo, mile 3 was tempo. At the 3mile mark Rebbekah just took off and I just tried to cover the move as best as I could, the 5th mile was a real grind and I battled the urge to puke and some mental demons but stayed tough and focused on closing the gap to Rebekkah. I ended up finishing hands on knees with Rebekkah about 3s in front.

Last mile was much more flat and even uphill that mile 4 which explains the slower time. I felt like the last mile should have been about the same as mile 4 or a bit faster given the same terrain.

Overall happy with today.

Easy run on the Centennial Trail (mostly single track) from Pilot Knob trail head. Good run, felt strong and didn't notice the altitude.

- 16min WU, 10 X 1min hard with 2min decent, 16min CD

Out uphill and back downhill from Mystic Trail head.

First WO at Altitude and it was a grind but felt strong and pushed on the last several. Fun day.

Great run from the Badlands. Trails were super muddy but the view more than made up for it.

Sunday Apr 21, 2019 #

Running 1:30:00 [3] 20.0 km (4:30 / km)

Good run from Rochford with Beeman and Paige. Felt strong and less grindy than I years past. Legs are sore - mostly left IT and hip flexor but I am doing lots of stretching and staying ahead of the game.
