Hockey 30:00 [3]

A win to finish the calendar year with the Sunday night crew.

Event: SMOC Maybury

Trekking 15:00 [3]

Sorels and snowpants.....what a beauty of a day. Snow was almost to my knees as I set a couple controls.

XC Skiing 30:00 [3]

Setting a couple last controls.

XC Skiing 30:00 [3]

Taking the water out to the water stop control. That extra 20 lbs made me grateful that the control wasn't at the top of a hill.

XC Skiing 30:00 [3]

Out on the course, seeing folks in action.

XC Skiing 1:15:00 [3]

Picking up a few controls and the water. I think only one cup was consumed. Did some hike-a-ski then skied on the fatbike tracks. That extra 20 lbs of water really changed my momentum on hills. I only tried to straddle one tree. I should mention that skiing on slightly icy fatbike trails is not advisable.

Trekking (Control setting) 2:22:00 [3] 4.4 mi (32:16 / mi)

Sorel snow boots rock!
Snow is pretty well up to my knees in Maybury.
Giddy up!

Note

Yesterday set a couple records for snowfall for the banana belt....daily snowfall (for the day) and accumulation to date.
Of course, 6" is a lot any time down here!

XC Skiing 40:00 [3]

That rare time when I can ski from my back door, down the street, to the mini park and then on to the water containment green space.
No ploughs on the side streets and enough snow so one can ski on the streets and sidewalks.

Spin class 50:00 [3]

20 second sprints with 5 minutes of "standing climb" in between.

Monday Dec 11, 2017 #

Hockey 25:00 [3]

Just when I think I really suck at this and should hang up my skates, the puck lands on my stick a few times and I don't make an @$$ of myself and accidentally pass it to an opposing player.
