OCIN WARS meet at Pyramid Hills Sculpture Park; Green course set at 5.4 km by Jasper Ralinovsky. Nice warm sunny day. Pretty good orienteering on a surprisingly challenging and hilly course with about half in the green woods with mostly indistinct trail system. Tried to get C2 from the top but left the trail too early and ended up going down to the road and back up. Drifted N from C3 to C4; read a square reentrant for a terrace on C6 and went too far, passing it on the right, went out to the road on C8 rather than staying in the woods - probably lost time even though I could run; C11 and C12 were good; unnecessarily used the longer route around on the road to C18.

Y MF base building run. This was supposed to be Z1/2 without any walks and 5 15 sec uptempo thrown in. I found this tiring likely because of the long swim on Tues. and not walking for 45 min. My pace was a lot closer to my usual running pace than it was for the speedier kids.

Y MF swim; a long swim during which I got very little rest. 3 x 75 m mix of swim and kick; 1 x 350 m; 2 x 200 m pull; 4 x 100 m; 1 x 300 m. I really felt this as I haven't been swimming much as I'm teaching T/R until 5:45 most weeks.
