Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Orienteering race 47:40 [4] 5.86 km (8:08 / km)

SHI Relay Castle Saunderson. Legs were not up for this, Achilles was fine but the rest of me was not! No major mistakes, only a couple of hesitations but generally just dead. Turns out training might be a good idea before a weekend like this - who knew!

SHI Individual - Gortaluganey/Florencecourt. Messed up number 1 (always a good start) and then took a couple of poor route choices 2-3 and back over the hill to 8 (got stuck in the green). Just had no terrain strength at all. Plus I haven't run more than 5-6k in about 4 months so this was a shock to the system!

Citi Inspire 5k. Not bad for a return to running 'race' - set off like normal but with the understanding if my Achilles flared up I would walk the rest. To be honest I would quite liked to have walked the final k, I felt super unfit for it. But no pain whilst running, although I tightened up a bit when I finished. Pressure on from my colleagues to win the team free lunch - 2nd female and first Citi employee to lunch duly won :)
