NICS 3 - Learmount, Brown. Made a fairly hefty mistake straight out of the start, I should have gone left and around the path but instead I went right and then had to contour around a hill completely covered in bluebells (good and slippy) and then stopped early and got very confused as to why the control wasn't in the junction. Settled into it for the next couple of controls, but my legs had nothing in them and the ground was good and soft making even the lovely bits of forest quite hard work. Managed to cross the stream at a decent point going to 10 so managed to avoid the huge very steep slippery slope that PaulP had to crawl up :) but sort of lost concentration shortly afterwards. Attempted to leave 12 90 degrees in the wrong direction then was 45 degrees out for 15 and 16 and hit 21 before 18. Managed to pull myself together for the last couple of controls but lost a decent 6-7 mins out there in total.

Partly happy partly pissed at this. Yay for a new pb but I really felt that a sub 21 was very doable. Conditions were pretty good, it was a bit windy but the rain held off and it was quite warm. Set off a bit fast but settled in relatively quickly, was with a good pack of people for a while then started to drop off the back with about 1500 to go. Died a little bit going down the Annadale embankment for the final time but managed to pick it up a bit heading down to the finish. Slowly creeping downwards with the times but hopefully now the foot seems to be sorted I can start getting some speed work in again.
