Strength and Conditioning 55:00 [2]

Reformer. Calves were so unhappy during the lunges with calf raise and legs in general didn't appreciate the 4 sets of jump boards at the end. Loved the arm and core work though.

Christmas Cracker, with Steph. Calves were on fire from yesterday so didn't really know if they would survive. Steph and I just about managed to find one another before the start after I'd had a shoe debacle which ended with me sprinting down the road after mum, not the warm up I was intending.... We started steadily and just tried to keep it at that pace. Nice and easy on the uphills and tried to push on going down them. My glute started to give up with about 4K to go, then Steph's hamstring started to cramp with a k left. But we got round in a pretty solid time, 10th all female pair and 3rd under 80s age group. So it looks like we were pretty well matched. Not sure I would say it was enjoyable this year, there was waaaay too much road running for us.

Turkey Trot. Took it steady today with the Cracker tomorrow. Beautiful day to be out in the Mournes, but it was oh so windy. Times on the way up to the windy gap where moving forwards was an issue and even more so coming off the second col. You almost had to sprint into the wind to get any forward momentum. Good fun though.
