Orienteering 43:12 [4] 5.3 km (8:09 / km) +65m 7:41 / km

Fun blast around Hillsborough, well as much of a blast as my knackered legs could manage. Still managed to drop ~3 mins on 11-13 but generally happy with my run.

Orienteering race 2:09:32 [3] 10.89 km (11:54 / km) +200m 10:54 / km

Erm, well this didn't exactly go to plan. But not really sure what I was expecting as I have done very few long or terrain runs in the last couple of months. Hesitant into 1 due to a sheep track that looked very like a path, got pulled off by a couple of people and the fog into to 2 (~4 mins), hesitant into 3, fine into 4. Was following the fence into 5 but fence disappeared early so I turned in early. Realised it pretty quickly and corrected through the light green to get to it(~2 mins). Bit off to 6 (thanks Aoife for pointing me in the correct direction). Fine but slow into 7, turned into the green waaaay too early for 8 and lost a load of time wandering through it until I eventually came back out to the ride and attacked it properly (~4 mins). 9 was a disaster, not sure what went wrong, I thought I had a decent line and ap, but I just missed the control. Wandered around for a bit and eventually came across 10 and was able to relocate from there (~8 mins). 10 was grand (having been there before) but everything went out of the window to 11. Had a plan, didn't even start out on it. Meant to go out to the big track but wandered round the little ones, and then couldn't work out where to drop off the path (~3 mins). Rest of the course was pretty good, but very slow. So a solid 20 mins or more of mistakes.

I actually really enjoyed the course and the run but I really need to work on my terrain strength before the SHI, cos I was really suffering out there.

Strength and Conditioning 55:00 [1]

Reformer. Well this hurt more than I expected it to, turns out 2.5 weeks without strength work really does set you back a few weeks. Fun times with the box and jump boards though :)
